Well-known journalist discusses Trudeau, Carney and BC's 'weirdness' ahead of Kelowna debate

One of Canada’s best-known journalists is set to take part in a debate in Kelowna tonight.

Jonathan Kay, a senior editor at Quillette, will be discussing whether masculinity is in crisis alongside three academics at Kelowna Community Theatre.

The event, which is being hosted by UBC Okanagan, will focus on the following question: “Are boys and young men casualties of modern progress, or are they being challenged to redefine themselves in a changing world?”

Kay was a founding member of the National Post’s editorial board in 1998 and has written for The New York Times, Foreign Affairs, Newsweek, the New Yorker and many other publications.

He’s also written several books, including Among the Truthers, which is about conspiracy theories in the US.

Earlier today, Kay sat down with NowMedia video host Jim Csek and managing editor Iain Burns for a long conversation about Justin Trudeau, Mark Carney, the CBC, the “weirdness” of British Columbia, claims that 215 bodies were found at the Kamloops residential school and much more.
